Cat Scratch Fever and Lane's Eff Up...

So, the other day, I was holding a cat so we could draw some blood from its jugular vein. Many of you may not know this, but cats are actually a hybrid between rabid spider monkeys and Wolverine from X-Men. This particular cat's Wolverine blades are located on its back feet, which proved very useful in filleting my right palm. The photo is after I spent 30 minuted scrubbing the wound with alcohol and iodine. Pretty much cats like to scratch and bite me any chance they get.

In other news, my Biology teacher from SLCC last summer is a putz. I filled out all the necessary paperwork for him to add me to the class and he said he would. So, I went the whole semester working hard on assignments, studying for tests, doing extra credit, and even staying up till 4:30 am one night for my final paper. After taking the final, I didn't have a grade on my transcript so I emailed him and he said he'd take care of it. Long story short: I recently called the department head, who said that they had no record of me ever attending the class, and subsequently no grade for me. In addition to this lovely news, and here's the good part, my professor has resigned from teaching at SLCC and has disappeared without a trace. Translation: I have to take the whole class over again. Mother!

So, if any of you ever meet a Lane Rolling, please notify him that I am looking for him and that our reunion may not be very sweet.

Go UTES, thanks for reading.

WTF? Your face is growing something on it! You should do something about that.

P.S. I hate cats.

Hey Matt,
saw your comments on my site. in regard to cat scratch fever....it stinks if you come down with it. I was so sick...the human doctors (not nearly as astute as DVMs) thought I likely had cancer. I had lymph nodes swollen up everywhere...in my abdomen, my neck, on my cranium...you name it. I was miserable...then got shingles at the same time. Hope you never get it this bad. I am hoping I a immune now...good luck in your studies. It is a lot of hard work, but really a good career. You will never have the same day twice at work...so that keeps it interesting.
thanks for stopping by.
